Lovely guest house, immaculate throughout, elegantly decorated with lots of nice little touches, great choice of breakfast . Booked last minute as our hotel let us down and wasn't disappointed! The lady who runs it is lovely, very friendly and welcoming,. Also there's a nice pub 2 doors away... glad we didn't have our other booking! Would definitely recommend and go back!

My wife and I stayed here for my work visit the last week in January. The accommodations were great and the location perfect. Meals were excellent in the morning and the pub (The Duchess) was just a short walk from the Chalice and excellent as well. Both Fran and Jackie was extremely friendly and very accommodating to my wife who had to stay behind while i was at work. They gave her great information on where to go and what to see. Next trip out for work.. I know where I am staying!

Perfect little B&B with a great atmosphere, beautiful rooms & bathrooms and spot on breakfast. Jackie was really accommodating and her daughter's pub 2 doors down is the perfect place to relax after a busy day with a great selection of beers. Kitchen wasn't open when we were there (to be opened in the next week or so) but they were more than happy for us to pick up fish & chips from around the corner and eat in the courtyard. If we are ever in the area again for meetings we will certainly stay again!

Most excellent in all respects. A good check of a well run establishment (for me) is the state of any shower curtain. I can report, that the Chalice passed this simple test with flying colours. Alexia in the room was an excellent idea. Breakfast was simply "outstanding". The staff, are most excellent. Stay here, I recommend it.
